Fincabins UK Ltd is an independently run family business, importing and erecting traditional high quality Finnish and German log cabins and summerhouses, transportable holiday cabins and mobile homes, garages and carports direct from the manufacturer.
We offer Finnpeak's "Classic" range of log cabins, summerhouses and other wooden buildings from Finland; also the Finnpeak Suvi range of cabins, the Finnpeak range of saunas, and their "Round Log" range of garden furniture and carports. OSMO's range of log cabins, summerhouses, carports, fencing and trellis from Germany are also available.
We supply OSMO's widely recommended wood treatments, to protect all your garden buildings, fences and trellis from the elements.

Insulation and Services: One of the ancillary services offered by Fincabins UK Ltd is to install internal roof and under-floor insulation, electricity and plumbing. The customer is responsible for the supply of the appropriate mains services to the building. Treatment: We always recommend that cabins are treated at the time of erection but no later than 4 weeks after erection. The OSMO range of wood treatments have been tested and approved and are highly recommended for use with log cabins. Because these treatments are micro-porous, they allow the logs to breathe. For the exterior of a building we always recommend the use of an Aqua Base Coat, which is extremely water-repellent and helps to reduce swelling and shrinkage of the logs. It also prevents blue stain rot and mildew. This product further protects against wood pests in accordance with DIN 68 800, part 3. Following the application of the base coat, at least one top coat should be applied. Site Preparation: A good, firm, level base is always required, which can be a solid concrete pad or paving slabs, although in certain instances a compacted gravel base may suffice. The main criterion is that the base must be level. Planning Information The latest information with regard to planning and building regulations is that, provided the building is less than 30 square metres in area and less than 4 metres in height, then planning and building regulations are not required. However, the building must be at least 1 metre from the boundary of your property. |
